Tomato Cucumber Feta Salad is fresh, flavorful, and SO delicious! This easy summer salad recipe comes together quickly. with just a handful of ingredients. It’s one of our favorite go-to salads for summer!
I was talking with a friend the other day about the constant conundrum when eating out: do you play it safe and order something you know you’ll LOVE, or do you go the adventurous route and risk being disappointed? Decisions, decisions. The struggle is real!
I always love the idea of being adventurous….of never ordering the same thing twice….of throwing caution to the wind. Especially as a food blogger! Just think of how much inspiration I could glean if I was a no holds barred kind of restaurant-goer. The world would be my oyster.
But alas, I’m much more likely to go the other route. The safe route. The boring route. Since I eat out so rarely, I find myself craving my go-to menu options in between visits. Would you have me deny my taste buds the deliciousness they’ve been longing for?? Just to see if I might like something else as much? I didn’t think so.
See, the truth about me is that I’m a go-to kind of gal. I have my go-to meals and my go-to outfits and even my go-to emojis. And as a family, we have our go-to restaurants and our go-to games and our go-to vacation spots….(which, incidentally, always seem to involve a waterpark……)
And this Tomato Cucumber Feta Salad? Well, it’s our go-to salad recipe for summer!
You really can’t beat it – it’s made with just 4 main ingredients and packs SO much flavor! Best of all, it couldn’t be easier to make. Tomato Cucumber Feta Salad is perfect for last minute cookouts, potlucks, or dinners with family and friends. I love that it’s made with such fresh ingredients….and the homemade vinaigrette? It’s to die for!
And even though it’s my go-to, it’s anything but boring. No, this Tomato Cucumber Feta Salad is as interesting as salads get….and always a crowd favorite! So what about you? What are some of your favorite go-to’s (recipe or otherwise?) Or are you one of those adventurous types? (Don’t worry….we can still be friends!)

I like to play it safe too when I go out to eat! Well…sometimes. I’m an odd ball haha, it depends on the restaurant. 🙂 This recipe though, I see myself making this over and over.

Hi, this looks delicious, it reminds me a lot of Greek salad.

After viewing this recipe on Pinterest, I have eaten this almost daily at work! Takes about 5 minutes to prepare. For a single serving, I cut a whole cucumber, peeled. I slice about 10-12 grape tomatoes in half. Cut up some red onion. I use crumbled feta cheese for a quick add. And finally, for the dressing, I use Lighthouse Red Wine & Olive Oil dressing which you can find in the cold section, next to the salads. Love this salad! <3

I’m so glad you are enjoying it, Brittani! Thanks for the single serve instructions!

I made this for work and I can’t wait to hear the comments! Like a previous comment, it reminds me of a Greek salad. Very delish!

Sorry to break it to you but nothing innovative here. Check Bulgarian salad called Shopska salad 😉
Cathy Trochelman says
Sometimes old favorites are the best! No claim of innovation….just my take on a delicious combo 🙂

I think that was kinda mean. I personally have never seen this salad (except that I make a Greek salad with the addition of artichoke hearts and black olives which I initially got from a friend’s child’s bar mitzvah, and which I mentioned below and which most likely is not innovative either). Apparently a lot of other people had never seen it before as many people commented as if they had not. Anyway, I don’t think anyone posting recipies is trying win some kind of contest, but rather just posting foods/recipies they like for the benefit of others, you know? Anyway, I hope you’ll post some of your favorites also. I am always looking for something new to me!

I make a very similar salad, except instead of making my own dressing (this dressing sounds AWESOME, by the way), put in a jar or two of marinated artichokes, which has a dressing already in it and I just use that. And I add some black olives. I either go to my grocery’s olive bar, or just get lazy and put in some canned olives. Love it either way…

This is delicious!!! My husband isn’t a fan of tomatoes so I cut back on those and added kalamata olives! This is now a regular in our house!
Joyce says
Yummy! Add kalamata olives and you have a true Greek Salad. (Their dressing is olive oil n I think red wine vinegar) this one sounds wonderful also!
Carol says
This is my type of salad. And I’m right there with ya….love my “go to’s”☺️ Making this for sure!
Ellen says
Made this today and it’s delicious. Only change I made was substituting raspberry vinegar for the red wine vinegar. It’s a keeper. Thanks for sharing

We had a family get together and I chose to do this delicious salad just by the picture!! Man, did this salad impress! Very fresh, light and crisp with the vegetables. The dressing was perfect mixture. This salad isn’t just a summer salad, its a GO TO SALAD… thanks!!!

Very good! Thank you!
Christine @ myblissfulmess says
This is an amazingly easy and delicious salad. It comes together quickly, especially if you use crumbled feta like I did. I also used cherry tomatoes cut in half and I didn’t peel the cucumber. I think peeling the cucumber is really just a preference, but it’s not necessary and quite honestly, I’m lazy! The dressing is amazing and not a thing was changed. This salad is beautiful, easy to make, and delicious! Perfect summer salad to go with any meal. I served it along side my husband’s grilled steak.
RG says
saw that I had three cucumbers on my plant and googled recipes and found this one. It’s a keeper!!! Better the next day! Couldn’t stop eating it!
Gilly says
Made this tonight to go along with brats and potatoes on the grill. One of my cucumbers was bad so I only had two but they were bigger. We were out of feta but had a ball of fresh mozz so I chunked that up. I eyeballed the mustard and used more garlic and s&p because my husband and I just like it that way. It was amazing! So simple and yet so full of flavor! This one will be going into the rotation especially with our cucumbers and tomatoes getting ready for harvest in our garden. Thanks!
Shirley Gregory says
I have made this for a family reunion tomorrow. Smells delicious. By tomorrow I think it will be divine. Will let you know. Thank you for the recipe.
Stephanie says
Can you make this the day before ?
Cathy Trochelman says
Yes you can!
Tracey says
Would it work if I added some chickpeas in it as well for a little more of a hardier version? Just wondering if they would combine well or not? thinking of putting this salad as the side dish to my grilled chicken.
Cathy Trochelman says
Yes, chickpeas would be a delicious addition!
