This Pumpkin Pie Martini is just the right amount of sweet, creamy, pumpkiny, and… yes… boozy. And since it’s made with whipped cream vodka, it really does taste just like pumpkin pie!
It’s the perfect cocktail for brisk fall evenings, nights by the fire, and definitely Thanksgiving. And best of all, it’s seriously easy to make with just 4 easy ingredients. And if you still want a piece of pumpkin pie to go with it? I say go for it. After all… fall only comes around once a year.
What you need to make this recipe
Whipped Cream vodka – Whipped cream vodka is a flavored vodka that’s especially delicious in dessert cocktails. It’s made by a few different brands, including Pinnacle, Smirnoff, and Veil. If you’re unable to find it or would prefer to use a different type, you can also substitute vanilla flavored vodka.
Half & half – Half & half offers just the right amount of creaminess to this drink. You could substitute milk or even heavy cream if you prefer, but whatever you use will obviously affect the thickness of the drink.
Pumpkin puree – Canned pumpkin puree adds both rich pumpkin flavor and a delicious texture to this drink. Pumpkin puree can be found in the baking aisle at your local grocery store.
Pumpkin pie spice – No pumpkin recipe is complete without pumpkin pie spice. You can either purchase it pre-made in the spice aisle or make your own homemade version.
Graham cracker crumbs – Completely optional but so much fun, graham cracker crumbs are the perfect rim garnish for this cocktail! *Note – you’ll need something sticky, like honey or maple syrup, to coat the rim.
How to make a Pumpkin Pie Martini
Prepare the glass – Prep your martini glasses by rubbing the inside & outside of the rim with honey or maple syrup. Then dip the rims into graham cracker crumbs to coat (see photo below).
Combine the ingredients – In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the whipped cream vodka, half & half, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice.
Shake & pour – Cover the shaker and shake vigorously to combine, then strain the martini into the prepared glasses.
Garnish – Garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon (optional) and enjoy!
Recipe variations
- Use pumpkin pie filling or pumpkin butter in place of pumpkin puree (*both of these options are sweeter than pumpkin puree, so you may want to substitute plain vodka, as well)
- Use any type of milk for a thinner consistency
- Use heavy cream for a thicker consistency
- Substitute cinnamon and nutmeg for pumpkin pie spice
- Use vanilla or cake flavored vodka in place of whipped cream vodka
