This Mexican Coffee Cocktail is my latest obsession… and once you try it, you’ll see why. Made with just 3 simple ingredients and topped with whipped cream and cinnamon, it’s a delicious treat that’s perfect for breakfast or dessert!
And the best part about it? It’s ready in the time it takes you to brew your coffee. No shaking or stirring required. Enjoy it as is or mix it up by adding your favorite flavors or toppings. Either way… if you’re a coffee lover like me… this is one cocktail you NEED in your life!
Ingredients
- 6 ounces freshly brewed coffee (I used a dark Sumatra)
- 1 ounce Kahlua
- 1/2 ounce tequila
- garnish: whipped cream, ground cinnamon & cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Combine Kahlua and tequila in a mug.
- Add hot coffee and stir gently.
- Garnish with whipped cream, cinnamon, and a cinnamon stick.
- Enjoy!
Recipe variations
- Make it iced by using strongly brewed, cooled coffee and adding ice
- Add a splash of half & half or a scoop of ice cream
- Stir in some chocolate syrup
- Add 1 ounce of Baileys Irish Cream
- Top with chocolate whipped cream
- Use flavored coffee for a delicious twist
