When it comes to appetizers, dips are boss. And you can’t beat a recipe that’s just 3 ingredients… especially when it’s as delicious as this Everything Bagel Dip!
We’ve always loved our everything bagels… sliced, toasted and slathered with cream cheese. So I started to think why not turn one of our favorite breakfasts into a fun and easy appetizer!?
A creamy combination of cream cheese, sour cream, and everything bagel seasoning, it comes together in just 5 minutes and is absolutely delicious with bagel chips, pretzels, veggies, bread, or ANY of your favorite dippers!
Ingredients
Cream cheese – The base of this dip is 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. I used full fat, but you can feel free to substitute a lighter variety if you prefer.
Sour cream – 1 cup of sour cream helps make this dip smooth and dippable. I used full fat sour cream, which is the thickest and most creamy variety. If you choose to substitute a lower fat version, you may need to use 1/4 cup less.
Everything Bagel Seasoning – Finally, the seasoning! I used 2 Tablespoons of Everything Bagel Seasoning, which is available in the spice aisle at most grocery stores. You may want to start with 1 Tablespoon and add more to taste (I like mine popping with flavor!)
How to make Everything Bagel Dip
Soften the cream cheese – Softened (room temperature) cream cheese is essential for any creamy dip in order for it to blend properly. Be sure to let it sit out at room temperature for 1-2 hours OR soften it in the microwave, being careful not to melt.
Combine the cream cheese & sour cream – In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Mix on medium speed with a hand mixer until combined, then turn the mixer to high and mix until light and fluffy (about 1 minute).
Stir in the seasoning – Stir in the Everything Bagel Seasoning, starting with 1 Tablespoon and adding more to taste.
Garnish & serve – Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with green onions or additional seasoning. Enjoy with bagel chips, pretzel flats, veggies, or crackers.
